10 OC facts meme

It's harder than I thought to think of ten facts about one character o.o Y'know, at least that aren't too boring.

Also I still haven't finished this book, still have no time and so still can't draw. So the occasional text meme it is.

Lucinda Martin

1. Vampires creep her out. It's mostly Johann's fault, although he didn't mean to and has no idea he even has.

2. She has an older sister named Cindy. Cindy moved out not too long before the events of Miss Prince and now works a fancy pants graduate job down South. She and her sister shared many interests which is partly why she was so lonely at first, not only being in a new town, but without her sister to soften the blow of losing all her friends.

3. Lucinda now lives in Newton-le-Willows, a real town not far from my own where my mother went to school.

4. She'd be good at magic, but I don't trust her not to overdo it, because she undoubtedly would have. Perhaps not now, but certainly the first time around...
(you know, if you would all just read the book I wouldn't have to be so cryptic X3)

5. She has no idea what she's going to study in college/university because everything she wants to do is not a real job or she doesn't have the skills.

6. Most of her wardrobe is filled with lolita dresses and cosplay stuff. Her ordinary clothes don't tend to get so well looked after.

7. Despite the fact that I imply she has a crush on Pens, she isn't actually sure and I think she's just confused because of constant bombarding by society that you really ought to have a boyfriend or at least want a boyfriend by her age.

8. There is someone she most definitely has a crush on and is not confused. Poor thing.

9. She's a massive anime nerd but she does try to tone it down when she isn't with her other massive anime nerd friends.

10. Doesn't stop her walking around town in cosplay, though. At all.



Will Winters

1. Will has good reason to be wary of unicorns.

2. He went to Japan for a year on a working holiday visa before he went to Fairyland. He spent some of the time in a language school near the beginning and the end, but most of it he was working so his Japanese isn't all that great, but he can communicate basically. Part of the reason he chose Japan was its large yokai population. He made quite a few contacts and got quite a few Otherworld door locations from there.

3. This is why his usual drinking spot is a yokai bar.

4. Otherwise, he is a more general kind of nerd. He likes a bit of everything, although Shakespeare is his real 'nerd alert' thing XD

5. Incidentally, his mother named him after Shakespeare. (I didn't though. Named him after William Sommers.)

6. He has had two girlfriends previous to dating Tyrian. One of them was just a short fling, like 'so I guess I'll try out this 'having a girlfriend' thing' the other was more serious. This was the girlfriend you have heard him mention by name, Rosa. He was dating her when he was seventeen, but she didn't like him going travelling and she didn't want to go with him either, so... yeah don't try and nail his wings to the floor. He doesn't appreciate it.

7. This is why he has no intention of staying in Fairyland forever. Although as mentioned ... he is considering extending his contract for a second year, even though it's unwise.

8. He is basically putting off getting a real job for as long as possible, getting all the crazy out of his system.

9. Good luck there, I'm not sure you will ever manage that, Will.

10.  His ideal job would be as a tour guide or basically any job where you get to travel and/or ramble on at people about history.



Tyrian von Stollenheim

1. He has the same amount of human in him as Will does fairy. (Erlina also has this amount of human)

2. He wouldn't give up being a vampire even if there was a cure because a: he likes it and b: it isn't even remotely a problem in Fairyland, especially as he's a royal and can afford to employ people for that. 

3. He was quite shy when he was little. Unlike his mother and his aunts, he never had other royal children to play with. Titania is childless and Maia only had Erlina when he was grown up.

4. He has shared his room with Aurelia since he was nine. She does have her own room, but she still doesn't always use it.

5. He's totally a daddy's boy. (Vampires tend to get overly attached to whoever gives them blood frequently... as you would to people who allow you to continue to live)

6. And quite the crybaby. He's got it under control lately but he has serious trouble handling his emotions. He has almost no emotional filter whatsoever...

7. He was at Sara's Naming Day, along with the rest of his family. He has seen her a few times throughout her life at various important occasions, and this is why she has less trouble with him than other Stollenheims/vampires.

8. If he'd actually got to know her when she was little, he wouldn't have developed a crush on her.

9. He loathes being king. Even though he likes his freedom and doesn't like being told what to do, he knows he lacks leadership qualities and would rather follow the lead of others.

10. He really, really doesn't want to get married. But he would like babies. He would like LOTS of babies. He is only allowed one and he has to get married for that, so tough cheddar, mister.


I hope this was vaguely interesting. If I can think of ten facts about any of my other ocs I may repeat this...

Sara led Lucinda down an odd corridor full of doors. That is, even more full of doors than corridors usually are. It was more door than wall, and it seemed to go on and on. Sara stopped abruptly.

“I thought I'd start you off with something simple,” she announced. “So today you're going to fight a dragon. Just remember not to get married,” she added sternly, opening the door.
